The Artist

Life as we live is the ritual we are looking for.

I am The Artist. Art is the beginning of Love. The Artist is the first to be emanated by the Cosmic Dreamer, for the Artist is the first to follow the dream and make what they find into a work of art. The Artist is the one who fashions, who makes, who reveals the beauty and elegance of creation by simple acts of awareness. For the Artist, every act of art, elegance and beauty is an act of love. The artist is indispensable for the creation of the planetary art whole. The Artist teaches by living and doing, for essentially everything the artist does is art. The way of the genuine artist is art as everyday life. “Life as we live is the ritual we are looking for,” is the artist’s motto.

Kiddush Levanah - Sanctification of the Moon

Sanctification of the Moon, Jewish from the Kabbalistic Tradition translated by Rabbi David Seidenberg

In the Lurianic Kabbalah this prayer corresponds to the Torah, The High Priestess.

In Kabbalistic tradition, the new moon is sanctified seven days after its appearance, under a clear sky, standing facing east. It may be said as early as three days after the new moon, and as late as a day before the full moon (the moon should still be visibly waxing). It is the custom in the month of Av to wait to sanctify the moon until after Tisha b’Av, and in Tishrei to wait until after Yom Kippur. In a minyan, the Aleinu prayer and kaddish are traditionally added at the end.
